Blue Door
Miami’s most celebrated hotel is also home to its most outstanding dining experience—Blue Door at Delano. Enjoy the dramatic elegance of the main dining room, where sensual lighting and billowing white draperies create an atmosphere of pure enchantment or reserve a table under the stars on the lovely Blue Door Terrace. The menu at Blue Door is the brainchild of chef Claude Troisgros, whose signature French-Brazilian fusion is evidenced in dishes such as Thon-Thon--seared yellow fin tuna with marinated daikon, soy, lime juice, ginger and toasted sesame oil; Homard Banana--roasted Maine lobster with raisins, onions, lime and cilantro, with caramelized banana and bok choy; and Mango Porco—marinated pork loin with black Thai risotto and mango and blueberries aigre doux.
Plat Bleu
Situated adjacent to Blue Door is Plat Bleu, offering diners a relaxed and luxurious brasserie-like atmosphere for lunch, dinner or late night supper. The menu consists of bistro classics like Steak Frites and Moules Marinieres as well as some casual interpretations of Chef Troisgros’ pan-national fare--including an assortment of Brazilian skewers and Carioca Breads (Troisgros’ innovative “Brazilian Pizzas”)—and make for a simple yet satisfying option any time of day.
Blue Sea
The ultimate eat-in-kitchen, Blue Sea is situated in the alcove off the Delano’s main lobby and remains one of South Beach’s most popular hot spots for sushi. Grab a seat at the communal table, sip a glass of sake, nibble on some exceptionally fresh and artfully prepared sushi and soak up the energy and ambience of one of the world’s most celebrated hotels.
