Ed’s Chowder House

Date: Sunday, October 10
Time: 3PM-6PM
Place: Eventi Hotel, 6th Ave (btwn 29th & 30th)
Price: $100

The rich history of New York’s ethnically diverse population is reflected in the hundreds of street food vendors that sell their goods throughout the boroughs of the city. From Taiwanese, Korean and Indian cuisines to schnitzel, barbecue and creamy ice creams, the top food carts and trucks will be brought together at Carts in the Parc at the Eventi Hotel’s indoor/outdoor FoodParc. Restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow will also showcase his concept food court that serves a special blended burger (No.7 Hanger Blend) with gourmet bacons, Joe Ng's imaginative dumplings, unique pizza bianca wraps, specialties from chefs such as Michael White (Norwegian meatballs), Ed Brown (clam chowder and lobster rolls) and Zak Pelaccio's (Asian barbeque), real home-made chocolate pudding, and much more. Travel Channel’s Andrew Zimmern will be our host and celebrate the street food scene as he helps guests navigate the terrain of bizarre foods, savory beers and whimsical wines, all of which reflect and foretell the food trends of our great melting pot nation. Sample tamales while buskers juggle, munch on falafel while mimes mimic passersbys, and snack on a plate of dumplings to the sound of a string quartet. If you hear it, see it, or taste it on the street, you’ll rediscover it here, at Carts in the Parc.

NYC Wine & Food Festival: Tacos & Tequila hosted by Bobby Flay - SOLD OUT!

Ed’s Chowder House

Sorry, this event is SOLD OUT.  Please find us at other Wine & Food Festival events throughout the weekend.

Date: Saturday, October 9
Time: 7PM-10PM
Place: 82 Mercer, Mercer St (btwn Broome & Spring St)
Price: $200

The humble taco experienced a bit of a renaissance in NY this year as a new wave of Mexican restaurants opened and exposed New Yorkers to authentic versions of this staple of Mexican cuisine. But what would happen if we challenged New York's best non-Mexican chefs to come up with their spin on a taco? That's what Bobby Flay wondered, so he's invited some of his friends to join him for this first time party and the only rule is it has to be delicious! Steak, fish, duck - they're all on the menu, and it doesn't even have to be in a tortilla - any kind of wrap will do! To keep it interesting, we made sure some of the nuevo Mexican chefs are on hand to represent. There will be plenty of tequila to keep the party festive and a live DJ will make sure the music doesn't stop!
